Privacy Policy – Inkhaven
Effective date: 7 October 2026
This policy explains what data is processed when you play the game Inkhaven ("the game"; in the
stores "Inkhaven: Island Builder") on Android, or on iPhone and iPad (iOS) where it is offered in Apple's App Store,
who processes it, and what choices you have.

2. The short version
- The game has no account, no login and no online features. You never give us your name or e-mail address.
- Your progress is saved on your device only. We do not run a server and we do not receive a copy of it.
The game plays completely offline; only buying or restoring the full game needs a connection.
- The game shows no ads and uses no advertising ID. It contains no analytics, no gameplay statistics and no
crash reporting.
- The game offers one optional one-time purchase, the full game. Google Play (on iPhone and iPad: Apple's App Store)
handles the payment; we never see your card or bank details. Unity's purchasing software reports the purchase
to Unity (section 3). If you never start a purchase, nothing is sent to Unity.
3. The full game – purchases through Google Play or the App Store
The full game is an optional one-time purchase (no subscription, nothing to buy again). It opens
the harder difficulties and the other charters. Everything else is free.
- Payment: on Android the purchase is handled by Google Play (Google Ireland
Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; for users outside Europe: Google LLC, USA); on iPhone and
iPad by Apple's App Store (Apple Distribution International Ltd., Cork, Ireland; for users outside
Europe: Apple Inc., USA). You pay with the payment method stored in your Google account or Apple Account. We never
see your card or bank details; the game only receives an order confirmation and the purchase state from the store,
so it can open the full game. The legal basis is the performance of the purchase contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR,
the EU's General Data Protection Regulation). How the stores handle the payment is described in the
Google Payments Privacy Notice
and in Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Checking and restoring: when the game starts, it asks the store which purchases your store account
owns. That is how you get the full game back after installing the game again or on another device with the same
account, and how a refunded purchase is removed. The Restore purchases button asks the store the
same question (on iPhone and iPad Apple may ask you to sign in). We receive no data from this.
- Unity In-App Purchasing: the game talks to the store through Unity's purchasing software, a
product of Unity Technologies (Unity Software Inc., San Francisco, USA, and Unity Technologies ApS, Copenhagen,
Denmark). This software sends a short report to Unity when you start a purchase, when it is paid, when it fails
or is cancelled, and when the game confirms it to the store - and, when the game starts, if it finds a paid order
that was not confirmed yet (for example because the game was closed in the middle of a purchase). Each report
contains: the product, its name and price as the store shows it, the currency, the order number and the store's
purchase receipt (for a failed purchase: the reason, for example that you cancelled); the game's app ID and
version, when the game was installed, and a random installation ID created by Unity; your device model, operating
system version, language and region settings, total storage size and the time since the device was last started;
technical details such as the version of Unity's software; and on iPhone and iPad also Apple's identifier for
vendor (IDFV - a code that is the same for all apps of one developer on your device and that is not the
advertising identifier). Your device's advertising ID is not included. Unity acts as our service provider: it
uses the reports to provide purchase statistics and to run and protect its purchasing service. The legal basis
is our legitimate interest in a working, fraud-resistant purchase (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Apart from these reports,
nothing is sent to Unity: not at launch, not when the game checks which purchases you own, and never if you do
not start a purchase.

4. What the game may use on your Android device
| Permission | Why |
| Google Play billing | Lets the game ask Google Play to sell you the full game and which purchases your account owns (section 3). |
| Internet access | Only for the purchase (section 3). Playing never needs the internet. |
| Network state | Added by the purchase software to check for a connection. No data of its own. |
Android's own support libraries also add a permission that only the game itself holds, to keep its internal
messages private; it involves no data. The game asks for no location, camera, microphone, contacts or notification
permission.
5. Saved progress
Your progress, the run in progress, your settings (sound, language, the interface look) and whether you own the full
game are stored in the game's private storage on your device. They are deleted when you uninstall the game (on Android
also when you clear its data in the settings); a full game you bought comes back from the store (section 3).
6. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
If you believe a child has provided personal data through the game, please contact us (section 1).
Purchases follow the store's parental controls: where they ask for a parent's approval, the purchase waits for it, and
where they block purchases, the game cannot buy.
7. Processing outside your country
Unity, Google and Apple may process data on servers outside the European Economic Area, including in the USA.
They rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European
Commission.
8. How long data is kept
We ourselves do not store any personal data about you. Data processed by Unity, Google and Apple is kept according
to their policies linked above; the stores keep the records of a purchase as long as the law on business records
requires. The app stores (Google Play and Apple's App Store) show every developer anonymous, aggregated statistics such
as install numbers and, where you allowed it in your device's settings, crash reports; they collect that data under
their own privacy policies.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of
your personal data, to receive it in a portable format, to object to processing, and to withdraw a consent at
any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in
particular in the country where you live.
Because the game has no account and we do not receive your data, we usually cannot identify you in the data
held by Unity, Google or Apple. For a purchase, the order number in the store's receipt e-mail helps. You can contact
these companies through the links above, or write to us (section 1) and we will help.
10. Changes to this policy
When the game changes, for example when a new feature processes data, this policy is updated and the
effective date at the top changes. The current version is always available on this page.
